Student Support Services Consultant 

Christ the Teacher Catholic Schools invites applications for the position of Student Support Services Consultant with duties commencing August 24, 2026.

Candidate

The division seeks an individual of vision and integrity who, as part of the division team, will provide shared leadership in support of the division’s priorities.  This is a full-time position in which the successful candidate will consult and collaborate with SSSTs, teachers, administrators, and parents to design and assist in the delivery of interventions that support student development.  The position commences August 24, 2026. Reporting to the Coordinator of Student Achievement and Supports and the Superintendent of Education, the preferred candidate will:

  • Support and promote the aims and objectives of Catholic Education and the goals of the Division.
  • Have strong knowledge of inclusive education practices and the Adaptive Dimension.
  • Have experience with Inclusion and Intervention Plans and individualized programming.
  • Possess excellent collaboration, consultation, and communication skills.
  • Be able to support teams in problem-solving and program planning.
  • Be able to take ownership of tasks while effectively prioritizing and managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Adapt to changing demands while balancing competing priorities in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Education and valid Saskatchewan Professional A Teaching Certificate or Bachelor of Social Work (B.S.W).
  • Minimum 5 years experience supporting individuals with disabilities.
  • Experience supporting students with intensive learning or behavioural needs.
  • Master’s degree in Special Education, Educational Psychology, Social Work or related field is an asset.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with administrators, teachers, Student Support Teachers and professional service providers to support students with intensive learning or behavioural needs.
  • Support the development, implementation, and monitoring of Inclusion and Intervention Plans (IIPs).
  • Support the design and implementation of programming to meet the needs of students requiring intensive academic or behavioural supports within an inclusive school setting.
  • Provide coaching and professional learning opportunities for staff on inclusive education and differentiated instruction.
  • Participate in collaborative meetings with parents, school teams, and community partners, including Inclusion and Intervention Plan (IIP) meetings and student transition planning.
  • Additional areas to be established with the successful candidate.
